Fabrizio Copano and 800 Pound Gorilla Media are pleased to announce the release of From The Future, Fabrizio’s debut English-language comedy special. From The Future is available exclusively on 800 Pound Gorilla Media starting today. It will be available everywhere comedy is streamed or sold starting on July 29.
Fabrizio started his comedy career 20 years ago in Chile, where him and his friends had to build the previously non-existent comedy scene from the ground up. Inspired by American comedians like Eddie Murphy and Lewis Black, he started doing stand-up in coffee shops and grew to become one of Latin America’s most famous and highly-regarded comedians.
After releasing two Spanish-language specials, Fabrizio Copano delivers sharp, fast-paced stand-up about identity, fatherhood, and cultural whiplash in his first English-language special. From The Future captures the hilarious ride through the immigrant experience, millennial parenting, and the absurdity of living between two cultures—all told with heart, anxiety, and a slightly panicked smile.
This special is also about claiming a new identity while trying not to lose the old one. Fabrizio became a US citizen soon after completing this special thanks to a joke about the president that made him think, “okay, before I drop this special, maybe I should make sure I can actually stay in the country.”
