New York, NY - Aug 18, 2025 - Actor, comedian, and viral sensation Gianmarco Soresi is thrilled to announce the upcoming release of his first full-length comedy special, Thief of Joy, premiering September 19 on his YouTube channel where he has over 1.1 Million subscribers.
It’s been a landmark year for Gianmarco. He sold out his international Drama King Tour across the globe, including a completely sold-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August. He earned spots on Variety, Vulture, and Deadline’s prestigious “Top Comics” lists, performed at JFL Montreal in multiple showcases including Lovett or Leave It live podcast taping, Variety’s 10 Comics to Watch, and the Fortune Feimster Gala. He surpassed 1 million followers on YouTube and TikTok, and was the winner of the crowd work episode of Dropout: Game Changer.
Thief of Joy blends Gianmarco’s signature theatrical flair with deeply personal storytelling. Drawing from his life as a theatre kid turned theatre major, he weaves together intimate anecdotes about his relationship, career, and his parents’ divorce, all delivered in the animated style the New York Times called “silkily feline physicality and frenetic gesticulation.”
Co-produced by Gianmarco’s manager Tovah Silbermann (2024 THR Rising Exec) and Matt Schuler, the special was filmed in Los Angeles at the Elysian Theatre over four sold-out shows in February of 2025.
