Announcing Adam Newman’s Upcoming Comedy Hour
Jew Versus The Volcano
Out on Vinyl as Double LP, Digital Album, and
Comedy Special on Blonde Medicine’s YouTube
Feb 23: Pre-Orders Begin for Digital Album and Double Vinyl (ships June 2024)
March 22: Special Premiere on Blonde Medicine’s YouTube Channel
& Digital Album Available Everywhere
Adam Newman is back with a new hour of comedy and this time he's brought his guitar. Music! Magic! Horses! Butt stuff! This hour has it all. Blonde Medicine is releasing Jew Versus The Volcano, Newman’s 5th hour of stand-up and his third on the label. It will be released on double vinyl, as a digital comedy album available wherever comedy is streamed or sold, and on Blonde Medicine’s YouTube channel. The special was filmed at Hotbed Comedy Club in Washington, DC.
Jew Versus The Volcano is loosely structured into three acts. The first offering a classic stand-up check-in about where he’s at now: recently married, traveled, barreling out of a pandemic. The second act is the age-old tale about losing one’s virginity, featuring an appearance by REM’s Mike Mills and a visit to the emergency room. The third and final act brings us to what Adam Newman has been planning all along: coming out as a (gulp) guitar comedian, offering up catchy songs about everyone’s least favorite dictator and…ham.
As of February 23rd, Jew Versus The Volcano can be pre-ordered on vinyl or as a digital album and fans can opt in with the “Notify Me” button on YouTube to ensure they don’t miss the premiere. The digital album and special are out on March 22, and vinyl orders will begin to ship in June.

About Adam Newman:
Adam Newman is a Los Angeles-based comedian, musician, and podcaster who's done stand-up on The Late Show with David Letterman, The Late Late Show with James Corden, John Oliver's New York Stand-Up Show, Gotham Comedy Live, and a bunch of other shows on streaming services that are now dead. He has his own Comedy Central Half Hour and an hour special on Amazon called Fuzzies. Some people know Adam from back in his CollegeHumor days, while others know him from a viral video where he pulled cocaine out of a heckler's coat. True Newmaniacs know Adam from appearances on HBO's Silicon Valley and Last Week Tonight, Showtime's I'm Dying Up Here, and TruTV's Adam Ruins Everything. Comedy Central named Adam a Comic to Watch in 2011, and he was a New Face at the Montreal Comedy Festival in 2013. They even had him back two more times to film sets for HBO Canada's Funny As Hell. Adam has three critically acclaimed stand-up albums - Not For Horses (2011) and Killed (2015) on Blonde Medicine Records, and Squirtacus (2019) released by 800 Pound Gorilla Records. You can also hear Adam and his co-hosts every week on the PuzzyBoyz podcast (guys who love their cats!). Adam's new special, Jew Versus the Volcano, is set to release early 2024.
