NYC-based comedian Chandler Dean and indie streamer Nebula are pleased to announce that Season 2 of the comedy-debate series Abolish Everything! will launch on Thursday, January 29, 2026.

 

On Abolish Everything!, comedian “abolitionists” roast a pet peeve they want banned from society, while a hilarious panel dubbed “The Political Establishment” improvise counter-arguments on behalf of the status quo. The audience crowns an abolitionist the champion of each episode, to return and compete in the season finale.

 

Beginning as a live comedy show in New York City, Abolish Everything! quickly became a local hit, graduating from smaller stages to the Lower East Side’s Caveat, the hub of intellectual nightlife in NYC, where the show is now produced as a Nebula Original. Season 2 will feature more hot up-and-coming comedians as well as Nebula creators and comedians who will bring their incisive points of view to Abolish Everything! for the first time. Chandler says: “My friends, it has quickly become apparent that one season is not going to be enough to abolish everything in the universe!” 

 

Chandler created Abolish Everything! after the pandemic in an attempt to return to the stage and create a showcase for his favorite comedians in New York. He had two metrics: a show he’d be excited to see as an audience member, and be desperate to be booked on as a performer.

 

Performers pick a subject that is (perhaps) silly or stupid, but argue for its abolition as if their lives depend on it.The panel is forced to take the exact opposing position — sometimes with legitimately clever rebuttals, and sometimes with ridiculous, uncharitable, absurdly-counterintuitive lines of thinking, but always unpredictably.

 

Chandler believes Nebula to be the perfect home for Abolish Everything! The premium indie streaming service provides a creator-first platform to highlight brilliant comic and creative minds in a media landscape where many opportunities for working-class comedians have disappeared as the number of online outlets, late-night programs, and variety shows that have historically employed comedy writers has dwindled.

I created Abolish Everything! to check all of these boxes”, says Chandler.

ABOUT CHANDLER DEAN:

Chandler Dean is a comedy writer/performer from Houston, Texas, now based in Brooklyn.

 

He is the creator, host, and executive producer of Abolish Everything! on Nebula, a fast-paced low-stakes comedy debate show that tapes in front of a live audience at Caveat. 

 

He is a Senior Director at the speechwriting firm West Wing Writers, where he leads the firm's humor practice. He also co-hosts/produces SpeakEasy​ (a speechwriting comedy show) and Some Fun Lines (a satire mic and showcase). He is the author of the speechwriting advice column How to Write Every Speech You'll Ever Need to Give in Your Life.

 

His writing has been featured in The New Yorker, McSweeney's, Reductress, Hard Drive, and Clickhole. He's written jokes for progressive political figures up and down the ballot, including a President of the United States.

 

Previously, Chandler was a Monologue Writer for the Crooked Media podcast Lovett or Leave It and an improv performer at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. He has also been a Production Intern at The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, a Writers Room Intern at Late Night with Seth Meyers, and a Field Intern at Full Frontal with Samantha Bee.
