ABOUT PERSISTICON:
PERSISTICON is a Brooklyn-based volunteer venture and social enterprise founded to help elect progressive women to change all the things. Powered by comedy, art, and community, our sold-out fundraising events support high-impact organizations such as EMILY's List. It is the passion project of Diana Kane English, Lynn Harris, Leslie King, and Theo Kogan. It is here to take action, build community, make impact, and have fun. Our events have raised more than $40K for EMILY’s List and other organizations and created an activist community on fire for more. On creating the project, Kane English says, “People keep asking me what they can do, where to put their energy. I’ve told them to take the things that give them life, the things they’re good at and enjoy, and employ them in the causes that speak to them. Persisticon is me taking my own advice.”
SUPERMAJORITY is a new home for women's activism, training and mobilizing a multiracial, intergenerational community that will fight for gender equity together. Supermajority will provide women with the tools, resources, and knowledge they need to channel the energy and activism of this moment and change the direction of this country. For good. We’re building an inclusive, national membership of women who are connected, empowered, and taking action—from increasing their level of civic engagement and advocacy to voting in record numbers.
SHE THE PEOPLE elevates the vision, heart, and voice of women of color. Our collective power will lead the nation in 2020 and beyond. STP was formed in March of 2018 with the mission of establishing a national network connecting women of color to transform our democracy. We are elevating and amplifying the voices and power of women of color as leaders, political strategists, organizers, and voters through an inclusive, multiracial coalition driving a new political and cultural era. She the People received broad national attention in April by holding the first-ever woman-of-color led and centered Presidential Forum. Over the next 16 months, the organization has an ambitious set of goals and plans leading to the Presidential election involving place-based and online communications and convenings that will set She the People up to become a go-to resource on the national stage.
