WHAT: The inaugural meeting of The Secret Society of The Sisterhood, a monthly, topical storytelling event where special guests are invited to read or perform something prepared for the theme of the evening, followed by complimentary wine and hor d'oeuvres for all ticket purchasers served at the after-show gala located in the Eastern Star Room.

On the night of January 31st, at the stroke of Eight O’clock, under the light of a full, blue, supermoon, total eclipse, The Secret Society of The Sisterhood will be launching her first meeting at The Masonic Lodge in Hollywood Forever Cemetery! We invite you to come and bask with us in the moonlight as we unleash our voices in celebration of women, life experience and human connectivity!
Commencing on the full moon of every month in the glow of a candlelit room, The Sisterhood invites some of the most prolific, iconic and diverse women of our generation to come together in front of our intimate Secret Society audience members, and share personal stories surrounding the topic of the evening. The theme for January 31st is "Reclaiming My Time”.
Proceeds from all shows are donated to various female-centric charitable organizations. The proceeds from the inaugural show on January 31st will be donated to WriteGirl (www.writegirl.com), an organization developed to help young girls find their voice through creative writing mentorships.
Following the show, our freshly anointed Secret Society of The Sisterhood audience members will retreat to a secluded room where they will commune together and enjoy complimentary refreshments and (if we’re feeling like we’re in the mood to get arrested) possibly even naked dancing around a blazing fire.
Chevalier’s Books (www.chevaliersbooks.com) will be selling the of works of our lineup members, as well as a curated selection of titles from other prolific female authors. We also invite incredible female artists to create pieces during the event that help to capture the evenings experience for our audience members. Those items will be featured and available for sale in the lobby after the show.
