Shark Party Media is expanding once again! We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic, entry level PR Assistant with an interest in the industry side of comedy, music, podcasting and all forms of entertainment media.
This is a semi-remote, part time, hourly independent contractor position with some flexibility on schedule great potential to grow into a larger presence at the company.
Tasks of the position:
- Listening to and logging podcast details for client archives
- Posting media placements to SPM's social media (Twitter/ Instagram/ Facebook)
- Putting together monthly coverage reports as per our company templates and formats
- Contact research
- Database management
- Attending a weekly staff meeting
Requirements:
- Outstanding direct communication skills
- Enthusiasm and an awesome attitude of curiosity and kindness
- Organization skills through the roof
- Creative thinking and an interest and eye to constantly bettering the process of our PR services
- Interest in working with a team to reap the benefits of training and coaching in media research, the Public Relations industry, and the entertainment industry
- Ability to communicate via email and utilize internet-based tools and social media
- Ability to utilize Google Mail, Docs, Sheets and Drive, internal contact management systems and all tools of the company
Extra helpful but not required:
- Experience in the field of Communications, Marketing or Promotions is a plus but not required
- A degree in PR, Communications, Journalism or some adjacent field is a plus but not required
- Attending NYC shows and events from time to time when possible
Compensation starts at $18.00 per hour / Aproximately 10-20 hours per week
