Chanel Ali is poised taping her first comedy album with 800 Pound Gorilla in two shows at Caveat on December 4th. Chanel Ali is a standup comedian, writer, and actress living in New York City. She is the host of the Food Network digital series Food Debate! and a cast member on MTV’s Girl Code. After blossoming on the Philadelphia circuit, she quickly became a crowd favorite with her commanding stage presence and story-telling style. Her observational comedy covers her upbringing, her unique worldview, and the realities of being a polite person in the entertainment industry. Chanel was a “New Face” at the 2019 prestigious Just for Laughs festival in Montreal and has performed at the Limestone Comedy Festival, the Women in Comedy Festival, and the All Jane Comedy Festival, and appears in the Starz series Night Train with Wyatt Cenac and Laff Mobb on TruTV. In 2018, Chanel was featured on the dias of the Friar’s Club Roast of Gloria Allred (where she is now a member), and recently wrote for the @NetflixisaJoke social media account.
