The trailer for Season 2 of the chart-topping podcast, You Probably Think This Story’s About You, was posted today, in advance of the December 31, 2024 launch of the episodic release. The show was picked up for the next season by True Story Media, who have called the podcast “a tremendous work of art that found its audience and made an impressive impact in a short amount of time.” In the midst of the release of Season 2, host & creator, Brittani Ard will set off on the 28 city “Love Unhinged Tour,” kicking off with a live ticketed event in Seattle on February 8, 2025

You Probably Think This Story's About You is an exploration of love, betrayal, and the far-reaching consequences of one man's deceit, told through the eyes of the women whose lives were irrevocably changed by it.

In the first season, the show hit #1 on Apple Podcasts in “All Categories" and in "True Crime" and stayed at #1 in “True Crime” on Spotify. They hit 5 million downloads in the first 4 months, and won the Bronze Signal Award for Best Driveway Moment.

In Season 1, Brittani Ard is on a quest for the truth. She wants to understand how Kanon, the man she once believed to be her soulmate, could have deceived her so deeply. As the devastating revelations unfold, exposing the depths of his lies, Brittani embarks on a journey to uncover the truth. The road to understanding is paved with Brittani’s complex childhood, marked by addiction, sisterhood, and the deep family ties that shaped her. But there’s one question left: who is this story really about? One thing's for sure – it's not him anymore.

Season 2 of You Probably Think This Story’s About You is a compelling series of listener stories intertwined with personal reflections from Brittani Ard, creating a narrative rich in resilience, healing, and transformation. Brittani explores how a deep betrayal reshaped the trajectory of her life, weaving her experiences of grief, addiction, and neglect with the powerful stories of others. We learn about the story of Lou and Eve, who bonded over their shared history of surviving domestic violence by the same man, forming a friendship rooted in mutual understanding. Cash, a former foster youth, shares her journey of abuse within the system and her eventual empowerment as she advocates for reform. Brittani also opens up about her experiences with sexual abuse, addiction, and divorce, offering deeply personal insights into trauma and renewal.

The season further features Austin’s story, a sex therapist whose career is shaped by her unique life experiences, and Gina’s transformative month of loss, self-discovery, and rekindled love after decades apart. Interwoven with Brittani’s reflections, exploring the messy yet beautiful impact of our pasts on who we are today and the power to shape our tomorrows. With vulnerability and compassion, Season 2 invites listeners into a tapestry of shared humanity, showcasing the strength found in connection and the courage to rewrite our stories. Brittani’s inbox remains open for those ready to share their own chapters on any topics.
