800 Pound Gorilla Media is excited to announce the release of Live Without Fear, a Rory Scovel documentary and stand up comedy special directed by Scott Moran. You can see the first clip from the special at VULTURE now. Since his earliest performances in 2004, comedian Rory Scovel has always made every attempt to incorporate improvised elements into his stand-up sets. In March of 2018, he decided to find out what would happen if he fully improvised the show from start to finish for six straight nights. Set at Relapse Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia, this documentary directorial debut for Scott Moran showcases the highs and lows of a comedian putting himself through an intense test of spontaneous humor for six different shows.
About Rory Scovel
Rory Scovel can currently be seen starring in his Comedy Central series ROBBIE, which he also created. Prior to that he starred in I FEEL PRETTY opposite Amy Schumer and can be seen in New Line feature THE HOUSE, TBS series GROUND FLOOR, ABC’s MODERN FAMILY and NBC’s SUPERSTORE. His hour stand up special is currently streaming on Netflix. Coming up, he will star as Danny in Apple’s half-hour long series PHYSICAL.
