Nathan Macintosh is releasing his second comedy album To The Point on March 29, 2019, via Comedy Records, available wherever comedy albums are sold. To The Point was recorded in front of an unsuspecting crowd at New York Comedy Club’s East Village location and produced by Scott Lindner from Pinch Recording. As the title suggests, the recording is a succinct, twenty-one minute set that was inspired by Pusha T’s seven-track album, Daytona.
Energetic, loud, never understated and always funny, Nathan Macintosh is quickly becoming one of the names to know in comedy. Nathan has appeared on Conan, The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon and taped his own half-hour special for the Comedy Network. He has performed at the prestigious Just For Laughs Festival six times, as well as the Boston Comedy Festival and Halifax Comedy Festival. His debut album, I Wasn’t Talking, was included in Exclaim! Magazine’s Top Ten Hilarious Good Comedy Moments of 2015. Nathan is the host of Positive Anger, a podcast that has received over 1,000,000 listens and is frequently in the top 200 Podcasts on iTunes.
Originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia and now living in New York, Nathan grew up with a single mother who loved stand-up comedy. George Carlin, Sam Kinison and Rodney Dangerfield were his first influences, and at the age of 10, he decided it's what he wanted to do.
Growing up in the Maritimes is something most Canadians don't understand. There are only a million people in the entire province of Nova Scotia, which is a very loud, opinionated place. Think Boston but with a different accent. This has helped shape Nathan's comedic voice, as well as growing up in a house where he and his brother sometimes went without.
