Ian Lockwood is a Brooklyn-based comedian and pop musician. He is the co-host of Hot Teens at the Brooklyn Comedy Collective and has had recurring appearances on the Earwolf podcast Earwolf Presents. Ian’s first studio EP, Nasty, drops on May 1st, 2020, and includes five tracks in his comedy-pop-music style that has become his signature in the Brooklyn alt scene. He is an alumni of NYU Tisch's Experimental Theatre Wing, Second City's Comedy Studies, UCB, and The Annoyance Theatre NY, and his shows have been covered in Time Out, Brokelyn, Brooklyn Paper, Bedford+Bowery, and more.
Nasty is the first release from comedy pop musician Ian Lockwood. On the EP, Lockwood humorously explores classic pop themes heightened to new levels of insanity (title track Nasty asks, "what if a 'bad girl' were actually manipulative and murderous") or throws a wrench in a typical pop convention (The Club is a classic club bop about never being able to actually find or identify a club). Other tracks throw parody out the window and pick absurd theses for pop bangers (like Horny For Bowser, a bouncy Ariana Grande-style love song about being, well, horny for Bowser from Super Mario Brothers). Inspired by modern micro-pop icons like Carly Rae Jepsen and Kim Petras, Nasty pioneers a new style of comedy music where musical quality doesn't take a back seat to good comedy, or in Lockwood’s words, "funny bops". On Nasty, catchy hooks and impressive musical production compete with hilarious punchlines and shocking twists to create an album that begs to be revisited over and over.
Nasty EP Tracklist:
1. (I Don't Think This Is) The Club
2. Horny For Bowser
4. Meet Me Online
5. You, Me, and Your parents
A Video for (I Don't Think This Is) The Club will premiere as part of the online, streaming release show. Date and details TBA.

Your Saturday night has never been this nasty, but trust us – you're gonna like it ;). Social platform asembl is presenting the live-streaming as part of their (not so) live comedy series. The (not so) live series brings people together for online live events where you can hear the audience laugh, see your friends and family who are there, and interact with the performers. It's great.

The show will start at 9PM ET.
The audience will join via teleconference
You can turn off your microphone / camera if you like but it'll be way better if you keep it on so that the performer can hear when their jokes are hitting or people are vibing.
A link to a tip jar will be posted. Shows are free but please help out performers, many are hurting right now and EPs cost money to produce.
And, oh yeah, this definitely isn't for kids!
