Let's Get Lit with Blaze Mancillas

NYC comedian and actor Blaze Mancillas is poised to launch his new weekly podcast, Let’s Get Lit, on Wednesday October 7, 2020, available wherever podcasts are streamed or sold. Each week Blaze Mancillas melds the world of audiobooks with the world of comedy podcasts, reading a chapter from the H.G. Wells 1898 Science-Fiction classic The War of the Worlds while comedians including Judah Friedlander, Josh Gondelman and Shalewa Sharpe interrupt to provide their jokes, commentary, questions and anything that pops into their head. The novel is read in its entirety so listeners are welcome to pick up a copy and join with us or just laugh along to the story while you continue to go about your human activities.

Said Josh Gondelman, Chapter 4’s guest comic, “It was such a joy to goof around with Blaze while hearing a snippet of a literary classic I'd convinced myself that I've read, but probably haven't actually read!” Veronica Garza says "it's like a literature class that I didn't sleep through."

Blaze Mancillas is an actor and stand up comedian born in San Jose, CA. He attended Chaminade University of Honolulu and Columbia University for the MFA Acting program. He was named one of the "Best of the Fest.” at the Burbank Comedy Festival. He’s also played characters on TV, commercials as well as video games including Grand Theft Auto: V and Red Dead Redemption II. Most recently he was the host of Webby Award Winning music trivia game show SongPop Live broadcast to all mobile devices in the US, Canada, UK and Australia.
