Co-creators Roni Geva and Margaret Katch and Consulting Producer Amy Brenneman are back with a second season of CTRL ALT DELETE, starring Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award nominee Ed Begley Jr. and Naomi Grossman reprising her Emmy Award nominated role from Season 1. Beginning May 8, 2019, two episodes will be released via Vimeo each Wednesday through May 29th. Said the co-creators Margaret Katch and Roni Geva, “Season 2 of CTRL ALT DELETE is a workplace comedy that tracks the ups and downs of an abortion clinic through the eyes of the clinic's director, doctor, and scrappy team of employees.”

Ctrl Alt Delete Season 1, independently produced and released by an entirely female crew, received a 2018 Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Actress in a Short Form Series, three film festival awards, and screened at 12 festivals, including the Chicago Feminist Film Festival. In addition to these awards and recognitions, the first season also garnered a huge amount of attention in the media. Washington Post said that the storylines in the series “signal a real and important culture shift,” while Bust called it “downright relatable,” and Tubefilter says it’s “a show that works.”

Regarding Season 1, creators Roni Geva and Margaret Katch share some of the immediate audience impact they experienced:

“We’ve already seen that our show can be an instrument of change. We’ve had women (and men) come up to us at film festivals, telling us their abortion stories for the first time. We’ve had older women share their illegal abortion stories with us. We’ve had women reach out over social media, eager to share. This conversation is so necessary.”

The first season was seven episodes, each based on interviews with real women who have had abortions. Season 2 focuses more on the clinic itself, specifically on the people who work there based on real interviews with independent abortion clinics all over the country. Eight serialized short form episodes track one day in the life of the clinic, starring Ed Begley Jr. as the veteran doctor.
